Choosing your speech topics can be one of the hardest parts of preparing a speech - and it's the first thing you have to do! Don't want to have to browse topics on the internet? I recommend grabbing the Persuasive Speaker's Kit.
So, to help you choose your topic, we've prepared topic lists of important, interesting, and funny public speaking topics. Different kinds of speeches are listed below, each with a description and link to a list of 10 topics.

These are topics you would use in a debate or question-and-answer setting. They're somewhat controversial, and can be a lot of fun to argue. Just don't get offended!- Demonstration speaking topics. If you need to give a speech demonstrating something, here's where to look. Most of these require little preparation or equipment, but have elements that can still make them very effective speeches.
