Final Project

Q: I have to do a final project on any area in the field of speech. This is my first time taking a speech class. Any ideas? The research will be up to me, but I was wondering if you could throw a few possible topics at me?


A: Your instructor certainly gave you an assignment with many ways to go! With the research being up to you, how about doing a paper on doing the research? Or, you could do a number of things on the actual writing, how difficult it can be to come up with a good opening even if you have the body down pat, or the multiple ways a person can not only mess up, but fix a problem mid-speech! With such a wide open topic, you can have a lot of fun deciding which way to go. Try to mix it up a little and take an unconventional approach. Good luck, and happy speaking!
